Our society was devastated by a catastrophic mass extinction event. In the aftermath, a new phenomenon emerged: they appeared. While some among us were gripped by fear, others sought to assert control over them. However, there were those who regarded them as the last hope for both nature and humanity.

As is often the case, discussions arose that soon escalated into conflicts. Despite a few years of relative calm, beneath the surface simmered a 'cold war' of sorts. Before long, the world's major powers found themselves entangled in a series of bewildering twists and turns, leading to a resurgence of hostilities.
